Vaishnav Parivar (NZ) Inc. is all set to celebrate the long-awaited Indian Kite Festival at Eastdale Reserve, Avondale, Auckland from 11.00 am to 6.30 pm on Saturday 13 January 2024.
The venue, Eastdale Reserve, is located next to Avondale College on Rosebank Road, Avondale All preparations for the festival are now completed. Kites, ready to fly, and Manja (Threads) will be on sale to the public at the festival. There will be several food stalls with delicious items, and kulfi & mouth freshening Paan. Beside Kite Flying, there will be lots of entertainment activities for kids in the form of fun rides & slide, face painting and drawing competitions. Live cultural programmes and garba will also be an attraction of the festival.
Also, participants can buy a $5.00 Raffle Ticket to win GOLD COAST HOLIDAY PACKAGE FOR 2 INCLUDING 3 DAYS ACCOMODATION (Courtesy Travel Corner). There will also be many more attractive prizes to win.

Indian Kite Festival is a free event for all and a family day out that should not be missed. Last Kite Festival in January 2021 was the biggest in the history of Vaishnav Parivar when more than 8000 people attended and enjoyed kite flying and other activities. All the Kites were sold out by 4.00 pm that day leaving some kite fliers disappointed. So, avoid disappointment, come early and enjoy a full day of entertainment and kite flying.
In addition to street parking around the event grounds, additional free carparking will be available at Avondale College on first come first serve basis. There is easy access from that carpark to the ground using the pedestrian gate. Entry to Avondale College car park is from Gate 1 on Victor Street or from Gate 3 on Rosebank Road.
