Skin care has its own regime, and of course it changes from time and with seasons. Also, then there are different skin types, like normal, dry, oily, sensitive or combination. However, these types don’t stand alone the major factor accompanied is the age. No matter what your skin type, age matters! We can broadly categorise age of the skin in young, middle age and mature skin, of course they are directly related to your age.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! It is very important to take your age into consideration when choosing your skin care products. At present New Zealand is entering the extreme cold climate season, this means time to take some extra care.
Usually, the aging skin or the mature skin category requires anti-aging or wrinkle treatment for their skin. The skin treatments for younger people do not need them, in fact it is not a great idea to depend on anti-wrinkle creams from early age. This could make your skin dependent on specific element or perhaps would not be effective when you need it the most!
Here, I am talking about younger skin care routine in winter season. Well, it’s a big advantage when it comes to our skin type. Though mostly girls/boys in their 20s & 30s have oily skin, thanks to the sebum in our glands, cold and dry conditions definitely scrap off the advantage.
It is normal to have dry and rough skin after cleaning your face or after having a bath. So the best solution this season is to moisturise, moisturise & moisturise again! This does not mean you are applying cream after every 10 minutes, but this means one in the morning and one before bedtime.
Hard to deny but this weather takes a toll by the end of the day, before bed is the best time for your skin to rejuvenate and heal. Below are some personal recommendation that have been giving good results as night creams, also includes profession reviews :-
Essano Night Creme Rosehip
As stated in www.beautyreview.co.nz, This luxurious superceutical works while you sleep to promote skin elasticity and a healthy complexion. Available in your closest supermarket, this is my current favourite and has not once disappointed me. At present I am on my 2nd jar and rosehip oil essence are sure a bonus in this cream. The consistency is thick, and it is absorbed easily by the skin once you apply it gently on you face. It does not leave the skin sticky and has pleasant odour. However, if you are looking for some instant results, this cream does take a while. Especially if you have a combination, irritated or damaged skin, this might not be the ideal choice. But it won’t hurt your pocket as it’s not very costly and has a long shelf life.
Trilogy Very Gentle Moisturising Cream
As stated in www.beautyreview.co.nz, Soothe and protect easily irritated skin with this deeply hydrating cream. It gently nourishes and revitalises, while helping fine lines and wrinkles appear visibly smoother. Maqui berry, SyriCalm® and calendula provide peace and long-lasting comfort for stressed skin in need of relief.
If your skin is the complex types then Trilogy is the go to brand which has some amazing products like Trilogy Very Gentle Moisturising Cream. Just a little scoop of the cream leaves the skin moisturised and smooth. While this product is more recommended for people in their 30s & 40s but there are no side effects of using it. A thumbs up for this cream to relax your stressed skin.
Sukin Moisture Restoring Night Cream
This is an excellent option for those looking to repair dry skin. The members of the Finder beauty team with dry skin have ranked this as one of the best soothing, nourishing, replenishing and hydrating night creams for dry and thirsty skin, as stated in www.finder.com
Also, Clinique brand is another which has a good range of night creams, it’s hard to point a particular one as it totally depends on your skin type, however Clinique Moisture Surge is my pick in this range.
