Narendra Modi led Bharatiya Janta Party created history on 4 May by securing a landslide victory in the West Bengal elections, ending the 15 years draconian rule of one of the most cruel, anti-India and anti-Hindu politician India has seen in the 79 years since independence. The former Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamta Banerjee, did everything to disregard the Indian constitution, undermining the rule of the law and violating the basic standards of public and political decency. Within days of her dethroning from the seat of power, some horrifying details of her criminal deeds have started to come out. The horrifying accounts of atrocities and her oppressive rule send shivers down the spine, revealing a regime that has completely stripped the people of West Bengal of their basic civil rights and freedoms. The people of Bengal were determined this time to decisively reject the demonic rule of the most autocratic leader India has seen beating her closest adversaries like Indira Gandhi and Jawahar Lal Nehru by miles. This time, the people of West Bengal decisively rejected the tyrannical and autocratic regime, that surpassed even many of its predecessors in suppressive governance.
Mamta Banerjee went too far in her anti-India endeavour as all her defiance against the government of India, was merely only part of a larger agenda to create a Greater Bangladesh, in connivance with the former Bangladesh dictator Mohammad Yunus. It is well known that Mohammad Yunus was aligned with the American deep state and was installed in power following the dethroning of democratically elected Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina by creating widespread unrest in Bangladesh. A well-known former Indian diplomat Deepak Vohra has claimed that sources in Bangladesh informed him that, over the past several years, there had been planning aimed at creating a “Greater Bangladesh” through demographic changes in West Bengal. According to these claims, Mamata Banerjee was envisioned as the Prime Minister and Mohammad Yunus as the President of this proposed entity. The allegation further states that the project was orchestrated with the support and guidance of the American deep state, with the objective of weakening and ultimately toppling the Narendra Modi government. Thankfully, the unity of Hindus in West Bengal has thwarted a malicious conspiracy by India’s adversaries, defeating their malicious plans against both the state and the Indian nation.
The win of BJP in West Bengal elections has sent shockwaves among all the enemies of India, both within the country and across the globe. As always been the case, allegations of foul play and misuse of government machinery have been raised by opposition parties following their disgraceful defeat in these elections. These elections were the first truly free and fair elections in last 5-6 decades, with voters able to cast their ballots without fear or intimidation due to the unprecedented security arrangements made by the central government.
This also points to the exceptionally high voter turnout, with over 90% voters’ participation, as evidence of public confidence in the electoral process. It is also first time since India’s independence that an American President personally called the Indian Prime Minister to congratulate him on a state election victory. In fact, Donald Trump’s phone call to Narendra Modi carried an undertone of sarcasm, implying that while one battle may have been lost, the broader geopolitical war against India would continue. This sentiment was later echoed by certain fundamentalist Islamist groups in Bangladesh, who openly appealed to Mamata Banerjee to confront the Indian state and even called for the merger of West Bengal with Bangladesh despite the electoral outcome. Such developments reflect the worst kind of opposition politics, that works against the interests of India and its people rather than in support of them and the nation.
The BJP’s victory in West Bengal is a major shift in the political landscape and a significant indicator of a broader Hindu resurgence in India. West Bengal results are far more than just another state election win; this is going to shape the future direction of the country’s majority population and mark the beginning of the decline of the “pseudo-secular” politics in India. -Yugal Parashar
