On 28 March 2026, women from across Auckland gathered for EmpowHER’s signature event, “Her Voice, Her Power,” an inspiring and thoughtfully curated experience designed to help participants reconnect with their inner strength and rediscover the value of their voices. The event created a welcoming and supportive environment where women could pause, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations about empowerment and self-expression.

At its heart, the session encouraged participants to explore what empowerment looks like in their current phase of life. Rather than focusing solely on external achievements, the event emphasized inner growth, authenticity, and the courage to be heard. Through a carefully structured programme, attendees were guided on a journey that moved from introspection to shared understanding and, ultimately, to collective empowerment.
The experience began with moments of quiet reflection, allowing participants to turn inward and consider their personal journeys. From there, the session gently transitioned into small-group discussions, where women had the opportunity to share their thoughts and experiences in an open and respectful setting. A key aspect of the event was its focus on listening without judgment or the urge to offer advice. This approach fostered a sense of empathy and genuine connection, enabling participants to feel seen, heard, and understood.

Through guided prompts, women reflected on important questions: When do they feel truly heard? In what situations do they hold themselves back? How do they define their own sense of power? These discussions not only encouraged self-awareness but also revealed common threads of experience, helping participants realize they were not alone in their struggles or aspirations.

As the session progressed, the atmosphere shifted from reflection to empowerment. An affirmation-based activity invited participants to embrace their strengths and speak positively about themselves, reinforcing confidence and self-belief. This uplifting exercise set the tone for the closing circle, where participants came together to acknowledge a powerful and unifying message: every woman’s voice matters, and each voice carries its own unique strength.
Adding a celebratory touch to the evening, three raffle draws brought excitement and appreciation, with prizes generously sponsored by Diana Sharma from Mission Ready and Tatjana Day from ManageMe. These contributions highlighted the spirit of collaboration and support that underpinned the event.

The organisers also extended heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the gathering. Sponsors Rakshit Bhaskar and Shalini Malik from Code Counsel were recognised for their support, alongside the catering provided by Chillies Restaurant, which added warmth and hospitality to the occasion. The event’s memorable moments were beautifully captured by photographer Madhu Nyayapati, while a dedicated team of volunteers worked behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly.

“Her Voice, Her Power” was more than just an event—it was a meaningful experience that encouraged women to reconnect with themselves and each other. By creating a space rooted in trust, empathy, and authenticity, EmpowHER succeeded in inspiring participants to embrace their voices with confidence and carry that empowerment forward into their everyday lives.
