Armed police make arrests in central Auckland

Three people are in custody and a firearm has been seized after a police chase in Auckland CBD.

About 1.30pm police received a report that a person appeared to have a firearm on them at a property on Anzac Avenue, a police spokesperson said.

They say three people fled from the address in a vehicle and were stopped by police nearby on Hobson Street.

All three were taken into custody without issue, and a firearm was located in their vehicle.
