DISHA NZ proudly celebrated the International Day of Older Persons with a beautiful and memorable event on 2nd October 2024. The celebration highlighted the joys and challenges of seniors’ day-to-day lives, bringing together multiple generations for a day of connection, laughter, and appreciation. The celebration started with three touching and funny skits by a group of 13 seniors portraying real-life experiences of the elderly in an authentic and relatable way. These skits were followed by a lively standup comedy act by Anju Chadha and her mother-in-law, Gulshan Chadha, who had the audience laughing and connecting through humour.disha event 1

The event ended on a high note with an energetic Bollywood dance performance by Shashi Khatter and Suresh Trivedi, where participants danced together, making it a day to remember.
The IDOP celebration further highlights DISHA NZ’s commitment to creating a community where seniors can live in dignity and thrive.
