Dahi Vada Chat
Ingredients
White urid dal-150 gms soak it overnight.
Dahi-1/2 kg add 2 tb sp sugar and beat well.
Raisins-12-15
Raita Boondi-Handful
Fresh coriander chop for garnish
Fresh ginger Juliyan sliced
Salt to taste
Red chilly powder to garnish
Boiled potatoe-1 fine diced
Cucumber- fine diced handful
Tamarind chutney
Green chutny
Oil to fry
Curry leaves-6-7
Mustard seeds-1/2 t sp
Dry red chilly-4-5
Bowl of tap water
Method: Grind the dal in thick paste and leave aside.Chop raisins ,coriander,salt and add to paste.Take oil in pan and fry vadas in any beautiful shape u want and take out when done with a good brown colour and straight to the water bowl.Give couple of minutes to soak vadas in water and remove by squeezing gently and keep in a serving dish.Add beated dahi on top then chop potatoes and cucumber.Cover them with both chutney and garnish with Juliyan Ginger.Take a small pan for tadka.
Add 1 Tb sp of oil. Red chilly,mustard seeds,Curry leaves and garnish again on Dahi bhalla chat. Raita Boondi and chilly powder to give a hot and crunchy taste while serving.
