Following from their winning the first prize in Rotorua’s Santa Parade on November 30, Iskcon Auckland’s added another feather in its cap, by being judged the best float in Ellerslie Village Santa Parade that took place on December 1.
“For the second Rathyatra parade in a row, Lord of the Universe Jagannatha, Baladev, and Subhadra, take 1st Prize for best float. As the Rath cart rolls down the street blessings the thousands who turn out for one of the many Christmas parades that happen this time of the year in the suburbs surrounding Auckland city”, said the organisation in a Facebook post.
Apart from the rath yatras scheduled in various parts of Auckland this week, Iskcon Auckland is gearing up to participate in the Annual Queen’s Street Rath Yatra [Saturday, December 7, 11am], and the Santa Parade in Hamilton [Sunday, December 8, 2.30pm].
