The Multicultural Festival in celebration of the Chinese New Year was successfully held on January 18, at Te Marae, Te Papa in Wellington. The event was co-hosted by the Multicultural Council of Wellington (MCW), and China Cultural Centre in Wellington, in partnership with Te Papa. “Many thanks to all our VIP guests, partners, performers, volunteers for making this event a great success! To have an inclusive, multi-cultural society, this free to public event showcased a variety of cultures from around the world – New Zealand, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Bulgaria, Africa, Latin America, Solomon Islands, etc.,” noted the MCW.
