HOME MADE GARLIC BREAD / EGG CURRY

GARLIC BREAD

– 1 loaf of French bread or Italian bread
– 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
– Salt to taste
– Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise, creating two long halves.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley (if using), and salt until well combined.
4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
5. Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the garlic butter.

6. Place both halves of the bread on a baking sheet, cut side up.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the bread are golden brown and crispy.
8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
9. Slice the garlic bread into pieces and serve warm.

DELICIOUS EGG CURRY

Here is a basic recipe for Shakshuka, a delicious egg curry dish:

Method

– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 bell pepper, diced
– 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 1 teaspoon cumin
– 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to taste)
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 4-6 eggs
– Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Ingrediends

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or frying pan over medium heat.
2. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Add minced garlic and diced bell pepper, and cook for another 2-3 minutes until peppers are slightly softened.
4. Pour in the canned diced tomatoes with their juices and stir well.
5. Add paprika, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
6. Simmer the mixture for about 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly.
7. Using a spoon, create small wells in the tomato mixture and crack one egg into each well.
8. Cover the skillet and let the eggs cook until the whites are set but the yolks are still runny, about 5-7 minutes.
9. Once the eggs are cooked to your liking, remove from heat.
10. Garnish with fresh parsley or cilantro if desired.
11. Serve hot with crusty bread or pita for dipping.
