Spain come onto the podium to receive their medals as winners of the World Cup.
Captain Rodri lifts the trophy to the cheers of tens of thousands of Spanish fans in the stadium and millions watching on screens around the world.
They are the first team to hold the men’s and women’s world cup titles at the same time. They are also the men’s European Champions.
Argentina receive the medals no one wants, for second place.
Messi sheds tears with the medal around his neck.
Spain’s 19-year-old centre back Pau Cubarsi receives the young player of the tournament award. And Simon wins the Golden Glove award for best keeper. Spain conceded just one goal in eight games.
Spain captain Rodri is player of the tournament.
The Golden Boot was won by France’s Kylian Mbappe who scored ten goals. Messi was second with eight, followed by Norway’s Erling Haaland and England’s Jude Bellingham, both with seven.
The World Cup trophy is now on a podium on the pitch and Spain await.

They win 1-0 against ten man Argentina.

The final was one-sided but settled by just the single goal for Ferran Torres in the 106th minute.
Argentina and Lionel Messi miss the chance to win back to back World Cups, but the reality is they were never in it.
The final shot count was 20-2 in Spain’s favour.
The Argentina bench and players still find plenty to argue about on the pitch after the final whistle, including Paredes pushing a Spain player to the floor.
