The very basis of an art is the imagination of the three worlds. The plus is that, the imagination is so intuitive and creative that it feels like a reality than a mere illusion which is the main purpose for the existence of many art forms. This existence is also a proof that there is something about this which touches the human emotions deeply.

May be that’s the reason over and again one goes in search of art forms be it music, dance, poetry, sculpture, painting, movies and others which are the means of entertainment. Well, a fact to highlight is that the Indian art is the creative blend of entertainment and the moral values which is also a brilliant way to educate the minds.

When we analyse deeply to understand what actually makes us go back is the process of ānandā or the eternal bliss which one feels by witnessing or being in the art form. The art was created for the humans to experience the world outside the real world or should it be rephrased as the world inside the real world which is the actual world. Though its momentary, yet the art forms are the easiest way to escape from the reality and understand the true purpose which is in fact a beautiful escape. Aren’t all the sanathani’s sthriving for this?
Well, in an AI dominated world now, how far can the AI affect the art? At times it becomes questionable to understand weather an art and the artist can survive in this AI era? Definitely, the rise of AI is transforming the world including the art. But what one needs to think is that, is it possible for AI to mimic the human emotion, lived experience and storytelling? AI can definitely make images but not artists.

India has an incredibly diverse artistic heritage. Our art forms need a personal connection with the audience because the bhava or emotions are innate which is the deep connection that connects with the audience that can only be felt. So, it’s uncertain whether AI can truly capture or recreate the deep cultural and emotional connection found in traditional Indian art.

AI can definitely play a big role in archiving and reviving ancient Indian art styles. It can help in digitization, and also to categorise, restore and make the art more accessible. For an artist, it would be a smart approach to use AI as an assistant. Artists can combine their cultural knowledge with AI’s technical capabilities to create visual narratives around mythology, performances or social themes. AI could be used for a background work, but in the end it’s solely an artist’s sadhana at the forefront.
AI can definitely help to preserve, reinterpret, and globalize Indian art, but it is difficult to replace the traditional art and the artist because the true essence of art lies in its creation and emotional impact.
Hence, the responsibility still lies in the hands of an artists to preserve and nurture the art. The key is to use it with cultural sensitivity, creativity, and a profound understanding of Indian heritage. Deep down, it feels certain that the future will seek out the artists, because they are the original in the world of the Artificial, true to meaning of the word itself.
