At just 19 years old, Sahil is gearing up for an extraordinary 20,000 km bicycle journey across four continents and 20 countries. His adventure, starting on March 21, 2025, from Bundaberg, Queensland, will take him through Australia, Asia, the UK, Europe, and the United States. Sahil’s mission is to raise global awareness about the soil crisis and promote sustainable agricultural practices that can restore soil health. More details about his journey are included in the attached PowerPoint presentation.

This is not Sahil’s first remarkable undertaking. At the age of 16, he cycled 15,000 km in 15 months across India, engaging with over 250 institutions, political leaders, and media outlets to highlight the issue of soil degradation and its far-reaching consequences. His activism has had a significant impact, and this upcoming journey is a continuation of his tireless efforts to protect soil, one of our planet’s most vital resources.

Sahil will be arriving in Auckland, New Zealand on April 11, 2025, and will be in the city until April 15, 2025. During his stay, he is eager to connect with schools, universities, environmental groups, and policymakers to advocate for soil health. Sahil aims to reach millions of people through social media campaigns, media coverage, and direct interactions, working to build a global movement for policies that protect soil.

We are also organizing a gathering at Mount Albert Park on Sunday morning, followed by a march with “Save Soil” banners to raise awareness about this vital cause. We would appreciate your support in making this event a success, or any guidance you may have on other ways we can spread awareness about the soil crisis.

Sahil is also looking forward to meeting with local students and farmers to discuss soil health. Sahil strongly believes that together we can make a meaningful impact in the global movement to protect soil and ensure a healthier planet for future generations. -TIN Bureau
