The Hindu Elders Foundation, in collaboration with the Hindu Heritage Centre, is honoured to present the Shri Ram Janam Maha Utsav, a three-day grand celebration marking the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Shri Ram, from 4th to 6th April 2025. The festival, hosted at the Hindu Heritage Centre in Rotorua, will unite devotees, community leaders, and cultural performers from across the region in an atmosphere of devotion, wisdom, and cultural richness.
This sacred event will feature:
Ramayan Path (continuous recitation of the Ramayan)
Maha Aarti & Hanuman Chalisa recitations
Soul-stirring Bhajans and Kirtans
Inspirational Katha Prachar led by Shri Hem Chand & Group (Rotorua)
Traditional Ram Janmotsav celebrations
A grand Shobha Yatra (procession) and Prasad Seva (community feast)
Special guest singers from Rotorua and neighbouring cities will add to the spiritual ambience, making this a truly memorable event for all attendees.
A Celebration of Dharma, Courage, and Unity
“The Shri Ram Janam Maha Utsav is more than a religious occasion—it is a time to reflect on the eternal values of Dharma, righteousness, and courage that Bhagwan Shri Ram embodied,” said Shri Vijay Chand, President of the Hindu Elders Foundation Rotorua. “We warmly invite everyone—regardless of background—to join us in celebrating this divine occasion, strengthening our bonds of unity, devotion, and cultural heritage.”
This festival is expected to attract a large gathering, fostering a spirit of devotion, community service, and cultural enrichment. Families, children, and youth are especially encouraged to participate in activities designed to inspire and educate through the timeless teachings of the Ramayan.
