Sakhi, founded in 2017,with the support from Bharatiya Mandir, was created with the purpose of bringing women together, fostering friendship, and empowering each other through shared experiences. Over the years, it has grown into a strong support network, connecting Sakhis from diverse backgrounds and creating a space for encouragement, learning, and celebration.
This year’s Sakhi Holi Milan & Women’s Day event was a grand success. The evening was filled with warmth, laughter, and meaningful connections as we came together to celebrate womanhood and the festival of colours.

Jyoti Parashar mentioned, “What made this event truly special was the presence of Sakhis from our very first gatherings, along with newcomers to the country, embracing the spirit of sisterhood. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for everyone to meet, share stories, and build lasting friendships.”

Lavanya mentioned how the event beautifully reflected the essence of Sakhi, where women come together not only to celebrate but also to uplift and support each other in their journeys.
The evening featured a delicious three-course meal, fun games, and exciting spot prizes, making it a joyous and memorable experience for all. We were delighted to see Sakhis engaging in conversations, supporting one another, and celebrating their journeys together.

A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers and Healthy Bites for their wonderful hospitality and delicious food, adding to the warmth of our gathering.

As we reflect on this celebration, we are reminded of the strength and beauty of togetherness. Sakhi is not just a group, it is a family that uplifts, supports, and empowers. Here’s to many more celebrations of friendship, culture, and womanhood.
