Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri visited Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple) in Amritsar to pay obeisance and praised the exceptional arrangements at the sacred site

“Every time is a new experience coming here. Everything is so well organized. I keep visiting different religious places throughout the world, but Darbar Sahib is a unique place,” Puri told the media during his visit.
Earlier on Saturday, Union Minister Puri visited the ongoing Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj accompanied by his wife Lakshmi Puri, former UN Assistant Secretary-General, and took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam.
“We feel very fortunate that we got the opportunity to take the holy dip here… I thank PM Modi and Chief Minister Yogi, who have made such good arrangements…” Puri told reporters.
The couple praised the Uttar Pradesh administration for the excellent arrangements made for the Maha Kumbh.
“The experience was amazing…We took the blessings of Ganga Ji, Yamuna Ji and Saraswati Ji…The arrangements are very good…We feel blessed after taking the holy dip,” Lakshmi Puri said.
“The divinity and grandeur of the world’s largest religious and cultural gathering, the Mahakumbh of faith, devotion and spirituality, pervaded every pore. Till now, more than 50 crore devotees have taken a dip in the holy Sangam. ‘Mahakumbh’, a wonderful and living symbol of India’s rich cultural heritage, gives the message of unity and spirituality to the entire human society. May the blessings of Mother Ganga remain upon everyone,” Puri posted on X.
According to reports from the Uttar Pradesh government’s Information Department, nearly 630 million people had visited the holy site as of Sunday, and more than nine million devotees took holy dip on Monday until 2:00 PM.
As the historic Maha Kumbh Mela nears its conclusion, the final major bathing ritual will take place on February 26, coinciding with Mahashivratri.-ANI
