She noted that the opposition was in disbelief, particularly after the Haryana election results, as they realised the ruling Mahayuti alliance was poised for a hat-trick and a historic victory in Maharashtra.
Shaina emphasised that, while the Mahayuti alliance is committed to public service, the Maha Vikas Aghadi is seen as prioritising its own interests over those of the people.
“We welcome the Election Commission’s decision. The opposition is shocked because, after the Haryana results, they know that we (the ruling Mahayuti alliance) will secure a hat-trick and a historic victory in Maharashtra. The ruling Mahayuti alliance believes in giving to the public, whereas the Maha Vikas Aghadi believes in taking from the public,” BJP leader Shaina NC told ANI.
Earlier today, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed strong confidence in the Mahayuti alliance’s success in the upcoming Assembly elections, stating that the welfare schemes initiated by the alliance would be reflected in the election results.
“Voting will take place in Maharashtra on 20th November, and that day will decide the state’s fate. The work done by Mahayuti in the last 2.5 years is visible for all to see. Maharashtra is progressing and is ranked No. 1 in all services, No. 1 in welfare schemes,” Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde told the media.
“The results will be evident in the elections. The work of the Maha Vikas Aghadi and the state government will be assessed. Mahayuti will form the government with an absolute majority,” he added.
The Maharashtra Assembly elections will be held in a single phase on November 20, with votes to be counted on November 23, as announced by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Tuesday.
The forthcoming Maharashtra election will see a contest between the Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition–comprising Shiv Sena (UBT), the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction), and Congress–and the Mahayuti alliance, which includes the BJP, Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), and the NCP (Ajit Pawar faction).-ANI
