Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar launched a book on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar titled ‘Gandhian Statesman of Bihar: Nitish Kumar’, on Sunday.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The book is co-authored by Bihar Minister Ashok Choudhary and his daughter, MP Shambhavi Choudhary.
The book focuses on the contributions of Bihar’s Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, to the state’s development, aiming to inform the younger generation about his work.
Taking to the social media platform X, Ashok Choudhary wrote, “Simple dress, slow pace, soft tone, a slight smile on the lips, and a heart-warming manner of expressing oneself. It is impossible to sum up the personality of the Honourable Chief Minister and his ideology in just a few words.”
He continued, “The book Bihar ka Gandhi, Nitish Kumar, written with the help of our daughter and Lok Sabha MP Shambhavi, was released today by the Honourable Governor of Bihar, Mr. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar Ji. Through this book, we present to you a small part of that great personality who has transformed Bihar from rags to riches. I hope you will enjoy this book. We express our heartfelt gratitude to all of you for the love and respect you have shown by attending this program.”
Speaking to ANI at the event, Choudhary said, “When I used to speak to people on the streets, irrespective of caste, religion, gender, or status, everyone praised Nitish Kumar, and it stuck in my mind. When I met Nitish Ji, I shared my thoughts, and in 2015, we fought the state election together. As I began working as the Education Minister alongside him, I realized that there would be no one like Nitish Kumar in the future. That’s when I decided to write a book so the new generation could learn about his work.”
Lok Sabha MP Shambhavi Choudhary added, “I began conceptualizing this book before I actively joined politics. After the 2020 elections, my father (Ashok Choudhary) and I wrote blogs about Nitish Kumar’s ‘seven resolves’ and the work accomplished in Bihar. As we delved into his principles, we saw how they were adopted by the UN and in African nations, how he championed women’s rights, agriculture, and how Bihar has transformed over the past 18 years. My father and I decided to compile this into a book for future generations to understand the beginning of Bihar’s development story.”
The event also saw the presence of the Speaker of Bihar’s Legislative Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, singer Udit Narayan, and Lok Sabha MP Arun Govil, among others.-ANI
