Better Future Trust has been active since its incorporation on November 30, 2022, by founders Shivani Arora and Kuldeep Arora. The Trust aims to create a better present and future for communities through various activities, such as providing essential supplies during natural disasters, promoting computer literacy among seniors, and raising awareness about health and family violence.
Better Future Trust recently hosted a highly impactful Ovarian Cancer Awareness Event at Maungakiekie Golf Club on 29th June 2024, bringing together community leaders, medical experts, and passionate supporters for a night of education, cultural celebration, and unity.
The event featured inspiring speeches from notable guests, including Dr. Parvin Dalal and Rebecca Gilbert, Health Promotion Manager at the Cancer Society, who shared valuable insights on ovarian cancer awareness, early detection, and prevention. A moving speech by an ovarian cancer survivor captivated the audience, emphasizing the resilience and strength of those battling the disease.

Additionally, main speakers Carlos Cheung, MP for the National Party, Parmjeet Parmar, MP for the Act Party, and Jessica Phuang, Ethnic Responsiveness Manager, contributed powerful messages, underscoring the importance of community support and awareness.


Cultural performances added a vibrant touch to the evening, with captivating Classical dance by Anuradha School of Dance and Classical Fusion by Sri Natyalaya.
Raffle draws were highlights of the event, raising significant funds to support Better Future Trust’s ongoing initiatives. Attendees had the opportunity to win attractive prizes, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors.

The event was a significant step forward in Better Future Trust’s mission to promote health through awareness programs. As Jyoti Parashar, Secretary of the Trust, noted, “We hope to arrange more such programs in the future to increase awareness about other diseases, which can help save many lives.”
Looking ahead, Better Future Trust is excited to continue its efforts in promoting health awareness and cultural harmony. Plans are already underway for the next Deep Mahotsav in September 2024, aiming for even greater community participation.
Shivani Arora summed up the event’s impact, saying, “The overwhelming support and participation from the community reaffirmed the importance of such initiatives in making a lasting impact.”
