The world-renowned religious scholar, preacher and saint, Swami Nalinanand Giri ji Maharaj is on an 8-days visit to New Zealand. Swami Nalinanand ji arrived in Auckland from Australia on Tuesday 24th October and was welcomed at the airport by several of his admirers, disciples, and President of Bharatiya Mandir Management Committee Ambrish Gupta, hosts Shivani Arora and Kuldeep Arora by garlanding him. Swami Nalinanand ji has very busy 8 days schedule in Auckland, he will be conducting Hanuman Chalisa Paath and Pravachan the same day at Shree Sanatan Dharam Hanuman Mandir at Beach Haven in North Shore. Swami Nalinanand ji Maharaj is known for his unique oratory stye and his exceptional command on Shrimad Bhagwat that captivates his audience. He conducts his discourse in many countries across the globe wherever he is invswami nilanand ji 01ited to.
Swami Nalinanand Giri was born on February10, 1979 as Nalin Sood, in Patiala in Punjab in a very respected and affluent family. Swami ji is the youngest of three siblings and the only son to his parents Indra and Virender Sood. He had his early education in Patiala and later obtained his MBA degree in Marketing from Punjab university, Patiala. The ambience at home and frequent visits by Pujya Shree Premnath Maharaj, confirmed young Nalin’s resolve towards spirituality. He went through a range of scriptures including Vedas and Sri Guru Granth Sahib. In a rare event, Pujya Shree Prem Maharaj personally baptised Nalin at the early age of six (eight years earlier than others). Shree Prem Maharaj extracted a promise from young Nalin that he would preach and propagate Ram’s name all his life. The young boy remembered his promise and took an arduous decision of devoting his life to cause of Ram Naam Prachaar. His spiritual journey started by changing the name of his home in Patiala to ‘Sewa -Sadan’ and the Sewa of Ram Naam started as result from there.
At the age of 17 Nalin Bhai took pledge to remain celibate all his life and found solace at the lotus feet of Param Pujya Swami Brahmanand Giri Maharaj. Young Nalin Bhai was greatly influenced by magnificent virtues of his great Guru who eventually initiated Nalin Bhai into Sanyas as per Vedic traditions. On the momentous day of Maha Shivratri on March 8, 2005, on the banks of holy river Narmada at Badrik Ashram in Vadodara, Gujrat, Nalin Bhai became Swami Nalinanand Giri.
Swami Nalinanand Giri ji will conduct a six-days discourse on Shrimad Bhagwat Katha at Bharatiya Mandir in Sandringham from 25 October to 31st October from 7:30 pm to 9 pm on weekdays and from 4 pm to 7 pm on weekends. During these six days Swami ji is believed to be visiting to some of his follower’s places and blessing people.
