Pink Ribbon event raises over $11k for Breast Cancer Foundation New Zealand

The first Pink Ribbon event of the year to create awareness about breast cancer and to raise funds for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation was organised at Chancery Bistro in Auckland CBD by its husband-and-wife owners Deven Naidu and Monica Naidu on Sunday, January 17th,2021.

The campaign for the event started in mid-December. It was a charity event with a purpose to create awareness about Breast Cancer, importance of mammograms and treatments. The guest speakers at the event were Shiro Pillay and Elizabeth Gounder, both breast cancer survivors, and Ms Sangeeta Kumar spoke about the importance of health checks. The event raised over $11,000 through ticket sales and all the proceeds generated through the event were donated to Breast Cancer Foundation of New Zealand.
