– echoes Anil Sharma voicing similar concerns as Billy Te Kahika from Advance NZ Party.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! What we need from the current government and the opposition is to unite so that they can spend resources on visualising and implementing substantial forward-moving policies for our economy. A recovery plan for the country which is looking lacklustre and is in peril from the crippling aftereffects of lockdown and then the second lockdown. Instead of depleting the system, the fiscal pump in terms of capital resource is needed to build up the investor confidence which is the only way for correcting the cash strapped economy which has accrued heavy debts in the tune of billions.
We are echoing our concerns that Billy Te Kahika from the Advance New Zealand /NZPP is also voicing. According to him, this election is too important to stay silent. He is being accused of being a conspiracy theorist. But he has stood tall in the face of criticism and he has not shied away from all the tough questions that other media and politicians are not addressing.
Personally, I would say, that our priorities should be our step up plans in many other fields that require immediate action. For instance, our local businesses need support instead of profits being given away to large firms owned by overseas giants. The four major banks which are lending in New Zealand are Australian owned and have made nearly a 5 billion profit in the last financial year alone.
There are other serious issues that need our attention. Homelessness for one is the big issue that confronts our country with more and more people slipping below the poverty line. The rich poor divide growing steadily. Buying a house is virtually impossible in the country with house prices beyond the reach of many. A sure crisis which has been unaddressed for term after term of elections. Cost of living is higher than New York or even Toronto.
Racism remains hidden and brushed under the carpets. Immigration is a daunting uphill task accruing more and more discord and chaos by the day. It is the individualism, divisiveness and discord between politicians who cannot see eye to eye on any major issues that is leading to ineffective policies and delays. We have lost our big flourishing education sector which was a huge attraction to foreign students. Most of it has happened due to the delays and the immigration department’s lucid and absolutely non-transparent approach.
Billy has coined the term Plan-demic on one of his recent interviews on television. He adds that the focus has to transparency, with not just addressing the concerns around the economy but also around subliminal hidden issues that are of importance like forced vaccinations, 5G plans etc. The current government should not be withholding information, instead they need to inform people what the long and short term plan looks like for the current elections besides Covid-19.
