As has become the tradition over the past 15 years, Christchurch Fiji Association’s biggest annual event, the multicultural Diwali, saw over 32 performances of various styles and forms, with over 550 people in audience applauding their every move.

“Notable additions this year, was a brief enactment of Ramleela by kids as young as five, and a classical dance performance done in praise of Goddess Lakshmi. However, the crowd favourite was the act when children dressed as Ram, Sita, Lakshman, and Hanuman, came to the stage on a small chariot,” informed Vinesh Prakash, Secretary of Association.
