Coming down heavily on RJD leader and former Bihar deputy chief minister Tejashwi Yadav, after he shared a video on his X handle in which he was purportedly seen tucking into a fish, expelled Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam raised questions over the timing of the post, amid the ongoing Navratras.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Speaking to ANI on Wednesday, Acharya Krishnam said, “The question isn’t about who is eating what, but the intent behind the post. What was he (Tejashwi) trying to convey by posting a video like that (of him purportedly consuming fish) during the Navratri? Was it a deliberate insult of the Sanatanis?”
“There is another video where he (Tejashwi) is seen proudly proclaiming that he is a Hindu. However, in this video (the one Tejashwi posted on Wednesday), he appeared to be someone else. This is highly condemnable. Tejashwi Yadav should extend an apology,” Acharya Krishnam said.
In a video that he shared on his X timeline on Tuesday, Tejashwi was purportedly seen digging into a fish with Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) chief Mukesh Sahni on a helicopter. He was also heard saying in the video that he barely gets 10-15 minutes to eat in the ongoing campaign phase for the Lok Sabha elections.
The RJD leader was also heard saying in the video that owing to the stifling heat outside, he carries buttermilk, stone apple (Bel) juice, sattu (gram flour) and watermelon juice with him while campaigning outdoors.
He tagged the video with a caption that read, “Food in helicopter amidst the hustle and bustle of election! Date- 08/04/2024.”
Earlier, on Wednesday, BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh lashed out a Tejshwi, accusing him of practising the “politics of appeasement.”.
“Tejashwi Yadav is a ‘Seasonal Sanatani’, many people, be it Rohingyas or Bangladeshi infiltrators, came here when his father (Lalu Yadav) was in power. Hence, they practise the politics of appeasement wearing Sanatan masks,” Singh said.
However, amid the row over his video, Tejashwi hit back at the BJP, clarifying that the video was posted on April 8, a day before the Navaratras started.
“I uploaded this video to test the IQ of the BJP and the Godi media and was proved right in my thinking. The post clearly mentions the date but what do the Andhbhakts know?” Tejashwi said in a separate post on the same thread.-ANI
