In an effort to foster cultural exchange and deepen spiritual connections, the Hindu Council of New Zealand, in collaboration with the Hindu Organisations, Temples, and Associations (HOTA) Forum, invites organizations and individuals to participate in a two-week Delegation of Hindu Leaders’ Pilgrimage to Bharat. This spiritual journey, scheduled from March 14 to 28, 2024, will be led by Shri Pravinbhai Patel and is inspired by the historic inauguration of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and the recent restoration of the Kashi Vishwanath corridor in Varanasi.

Program Highlights:

The pilgrimage promises a unique blend of spiritual, historical, and cultural experiences, taking participants through significant cities such as New Delhi, Kurukshetra, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Mathura, Vrindavan, Agra, Prayag Raj, Kashi (Varanasi), Sarnath, and Ayodhya.

Key Activities Include:

  1. Interactions with Spiritual Figures: Pilgrims will have the opportunity to interact with revered spiritual figures, including Sadhvi Ritambhara ji, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev ji, Swami Chidanand Muniji, and Dr. Chinmay Pandya ji.
  2. VIP Darshan and Cultural Celebrations: Exclusive visits to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Akshardham Temple, Ganga Aarti in Rishikesh and Varanasi, a dip in the Triveni Sangam, Holi celebration in Varanasi, and participation in press meets in Rishikesh and Varanasi are among the scheduled activities.
  3. Cultural Immersion and Educational Opportunities: The itinerary includes visits to historical sites, cultural events, and educational opportunities such as guided tours, workshops, and spiritual talks.

Financial Details:

The estimated expenses for the two-week pilgrimage, covering travel, accommodation, and meals, amount to approximately NZS$ 1800. Participants are required to pay this amount to the Hindu Council of New Zealand. Any remaining funds will be returned to pilgrims or donated to charity. Additionally, international airfare (around $2000) must be paid directly to the travel agent in New Zealand.

Community Engagement:

With 50% of spaces already confirmed, the delegation encourages Hindu Temples and Organizations to send at least one representative, fostering a spirit of inclusion and cultural exchange.
