When Sindhya Kirpalani walked across the stage at the Mrs. Globe 2025 pageant in Shenzhen, China, she wasn’t just wearing a gown and a crown, she was carrying the pride, spirit, and diversity of Aotearoa New Zealand on her shoulders.
Returning home with three international titles – Mrs. Globe New Zealand, Women of Worth, and 3rd Runner-Up (People’s Choice Global) , Sindhya has done more than make history. She has become a symbol of strength, resilience, and heartfelt advocacy for women across cultures.
“Standing there, representing New Zealand, I felt like I wasn’t alone,” she shares. “I was holding the stories of women who rise every day, mothers, daughters, dreamers and everyone finding courage in their own way.”
A Kiwi Dream Built on Courage and Community
Born in India and proudly Kiwi by heart, Sindhya’s story is one of transformation. Since moving to New Zealand in 2007 with her husband, Prakash Kirpalani, and their son, Sahil, she has worn many hats – engineer, entrepreneur, community advocate, and now, global ambassador for women’s empowerment.
The family’s shared belief in giving back has shaped their journey. Whether it’s volunteering for local causes, fundraising for charities, or running businesses that make an impact, the Kirpalanis have made purpose their foundation.
Breaking Barriers and Redefining Beauty
As the first woman of Indian origin to win the Mrs. New Zealand title, Sindhya’s triumph at Mrs. Globe is a proud moment not just for her, but for the growing multicultural voice of New Zealand.
Her victory is a reminder that true beauty lies in authenticity, compassion, and leadership. “It was never about competing,” she reflects. “It was about connecting and representing the New Zealand that celebrates every colour, every culture, and every woman.”

Leading with Heart
Off stage, Sindhya is the founder of SoleHues, a wellness and empowerment brand dedicated to helping people build clarity, confidence, and emotional balance. Her programs combine science backed mindfulness, breathwork, and movement therapy to help people reconnect with their purpose.
Through her advocacy and community work, Sindhya has also earned the Auckland Community Award, recognising her contributions to mental health and child welfare.
“The crown is not the destination,” she says softly. “It’s a reminder of responsibility to use my platform to make others shine.”
Lighting the Path for Future Leaders
Sindhya’s next mission is to mentor the next generation of women leaders and pageant hopefuls. She’s creating a Pageant & Leadership Mentorship Program that focuses on confidence, authenticity, and social purpose, preparing women to represent New Zealand not just beautifully, but meaningfully.
Alongside this, she continues to expand The Kirpalani Foundation, a charitable trust that supports mental health programs, child welfare initiatives, and community wellbeing across New Zealand.
A Win That Belongs to Every Kiwi
In Sindhya’s story, we see the best of New Zealand – diversity, determination, and heart. Her global recognition is not personal; it’s national. It’s a story of how far courage and kindness can take you when you dream beyond borders.
“My biggest win,” she smiles, “is knowing that a little girl somewhere will see my journey and believe she can too.”
