Disha NZ Charitable Trust hosted its much-anticipated Christmas Celebration on 9th December at the New Lynn Community Centre. The event, supported by the Whau Local Board, Whau Ethnic Collective, GOPIO, and Shivani Restaurant, was a heartwarming affair that brought Auckland’s diverse communities together in the true spirit of the festive season. The celebration was attended by approx 200 people. The attendees were treated to a vibrant program featuring a Nativity Play that beautifully depicted the story of Christmas, spreading the message of love, hope, and goodwill.

The dazzling display of colors and styles reflected the rich cultural diversity of the community, making it a memorable part of the celebration.
Disha NZ also took the opportunity to recognize the dedicated volunteers who have been the backbone of the organization. Their wholehearted support and selfless efforts were acknowledged with heartfelt appreciation and small tokens of gratitude. The volunteers’ commitment to serving the community has been instrumental in the success of Disha NZ’s various initiatives throughout the year.
Attendees enjoyed delicious food provided by Shivani Restaurant, which added to the festive cheer. The event also featured fun family activities and opportunities for community members to connect and celebrate the season of giving.
