Sikh Legacy brought a wonderful painting exhibition to Auckland depicting the life and legacy of Guru Nanak Dev ji. It was also part of the NZ Sikh Games.
We also went, clicked some pictures and shot a video, to bring the paintings to the wider audience, who didn’t get a chance to visit the ongoing exhibitions. We present some snippets below. Everything on this page is courtesy Sikh Legacy.
“On this pious occasion of Guru Nanak’s 550th Birth Anniversary, we are keen to spread his messages through an exhibition of his life events. The exhibition consists of posters showing a snapshot of the event in Guru Nanak’s life which are explained in English, Punjabi and Te Reo Maori. We aim to educate and celebrate the Guru Nanak’s Anniversary with others. For Sikhs in New Zealand and around the world, Guru Nanak’s birth is the birth of Sikh Community.”
