Recently, our leader Simon Bridges outlined the New Zealand National Party’s economic plan.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! This is our plan for New Zealand and New Zealanders heading in to the 2020 general elections. As always National has put in place a strong economic plan for the New Zealand economy and New Zealanders.
We promise to keep taxes low, so that New Zealanders have disposable income to make choices.
To protect our current and future generations from intergenerational debt, National will keep debt levels low, as we believe in being responsible managers of our economy.
We have proven experience in growing incomes and keep the costs of living low. We also understand the need to invest more in core public services and the need to create jobs and opportunities for New Zealanders.
National understands economics and the New Zealand economy.
Despite our commodity prices remaining high and our terms of trade at record levels, New Zealand suffers from a declining economy due to the economic mismanagement under the Labour led coalition.
I continually meet every day Kiwis who are either in jobs or run businesses, who share their concerns about our economy and its impact on job creation and business growth.
I have said to them that they can count on National to lift New Zealand’s economic growth back to at least three per cent per annum and to increase New Zealand’s GDP per capita growth to amongst the top in the world.
We want to reduce the number of our skilled people moving to Australia, hence will work on reducing the after-tax income tax gap with Australia
Lastly, we understand the value that small and medium enterprises add to our economy. Hence reviving business confidence so that businesses feel like they can take more risks and create opportunities for you and your family is our priority.
Only National will introduce polices that will put more money in your pocket, actually build roads and make your communities safer.
