The operation, which targeted the alleged methamphetamine supply by the gang’s North Shore chapter, involved the execution of search warrants at seven locations, including the gang’s headquarters in Wairau Valley.

According to Detective Inspector Albie Alexander, tactical staff supported investigators during the operation, leading to the arrest of five men without incident.

These individuals have been charged with possession of methamphetamine for supply as part of Operation Salmon, an ongoing investigation.

During the raids, law enforcement seized several items of interest, including $80,000 in cash, firearm ammunition, and cannabis.

Alexander noted that further arrests are possible, emphasizing that police will continue to carry out disruption and enforcement actions to address criminal activity in the area
