Auckland, 25 August 2025 – Moving into the third quarter of the year, Udaan, in partnership with Whau Ethnic Collective, successfully conducted an empowering workshop on CV and cover letter writing, along with interview skills training through mock interview practice. The event took place on 23rd August 2025 at the New Lynn Community Centre in Auckland.

The workshop aimed to provide practical, hands-on guidance for job seekers at various stages of their careers. Each participant received individual feedback on their CVs, learning how to make them stand out to employers during the initial application stage. In addition, participants engaged in mock interview sessions, helping them gain confidence, refine their responses, and understand strategies for succeeding in real interviews.

Diverse Participation and Interactive Learning

The attendees represented a wide range of professional backgrounds, including education, digital marketing, IT, and business management, with several PhD holders exploring career opportunities in their fields. The diversity of participants enriched the discussions, as individuals shared challenges and insights from their unique journeys.

The workshop was led by Udaan’s core programme team – Ms. Shveta Shah, Ms. Bela Divecha, Ms. Jyoti Parashar, and Ms. Mahima Sukheja – who collectively brought their skills, industry knowledge, and facilitation expertise. Their collaborative approach ensured that every participant was engaged and received tailored support.

Positive Impact and Reflections

Feedback from participants highlighted the usefulness and practicality of the workshop. Many reflected positively on the methodology, appreciating the personalised guidance and the safe space created for practice and improvement. The session not only enhanced technical job-seeking skills but also boosted participants’ confidence to approach the job market.

Looking Ahead

Encouraged by the success of this initiative, Udaan plans to organize more workshops and networking events in the coming months. These will continue to focus on motivation, resource sharing, and building strong community support systems to help individuals achieve their career goals.
