The Indian News conferred Gold Medal at PRIDE IN PRINT AWARD-2024

We are delighted to announce that The Indian News, your favourite news publication and a trusted, fearless voice for the Indian community in New Zealand for the past 6.5 years, has been awarded the Gold Medal at the PRIDE IN PRINT AWARD 2024.
Established in 1993, the prestigious PRIDE IN PRINT AWARD honours print publications across New Zealand, encompassing mainstream media, regional, and ethnic news outlets. This premier event on the printing industry calendar recognizes outstanding print jobs nationwide. The Indian News’ entry, submitted by NZME, included our print edition from March 2, 2023, among several other publications. The awards are evaluated based on several rigorous criteria, such as layout, print quality, aesthetic value, news flow, and overall presentation. There are two award categories: Gold Winners and Highly Recommended. Publications that achieve full marks are designated Gold Winners. As the newest member of New Zealand’s ethnic media spectrum, we are immensely proud to receive this Gold Winner recognition.

We are deeply humbled by this honour and dedicate it to our readers, stakeholders, supporters, advertisers, and the hardworking team at The Indian News. During challenging times for print media worldwide, especially in New Zealand, this award significantly boosts our resolve to persist and continue delivering quality journalism.
The Pride In Print Award emphasizes maintaining a culture of excellence that meets and exceeds readers’ and clients’ needs while continuously pushing boundaries. Expert judges scrutinize the awards based on technical excellence, design, and typography, assessing the potential and limitations of the processes, materials, and equipment used. This meticulous evaluation process ensures that only the most deserving publications are recognized, highlighting their commitment to superior quality and innovation.
These awards aim to spotlight businesses driving the industry’s future. There are three categories—Sustainability, Wellness, and Innovation—each vital to a business’s success and the industry’s evolution. By focusing on these aspects, the awards ensure that print continues to have a compelling story to tell, adapting to modern challenges and maintaining relevance in an increasingly digital world.
In today’s fiercely competitive and uncertain economic landscape, such awards provide a crucial boost to small media houses fighting for survival. The recognition and validation that come with winning a PRIDE IN PRINT AWARD are invaluable, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and inspiring us to strive for even greater heights.
At The Indian News, we assure our readers and supporters that we will continue striving for excellence and serving the community with our non-partisan, fearless journalistic approach, unwavering in our commitment to the truth. Our mission is to provide accurate, timely, and relevant news that resonates with our community while upholding the highest standards of journalism.
This award is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our small but mighty team. It reinforces our belief in the importance of independent journalism and the vital role it plays in informing and empowering our community. We are grateful for the trust and support of our readers, which motivates us to keep pushing forward, even in the face of adversity.

As we celebrate this achievement, we remain committed to our core values of integrity, transparency, and accountability. We will continue to bring you the news that matters, with the same fearless and uncompromising spirit that has defined The Indian News from the beginning.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and for supporting us in our mission to be the voice of the Indian community in New Zealand. Together, we will continue to make a difference, one story at a time. –Yugal Parashar
