Hindu Heritage Centre Rotorua to Commemorate Shri Ram Mandir Inauguration

Hindu Heritage Centre is devoted to preserving, promoting, and celebrating the rich heritage of Hindu Dharma.
The Hindu Heritage Centre in Rotorua, in association with Hindu Organisations, Temples and Associations (HOTA) Forum, is set to organise a momentous community prayer gathering to mark the inauguration of the Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on Monday, 22nd January 2024. We request all devotees to arrive at the Centre by 6.00 pm. Ms Pooja is the coordinator of this function.
The Shri Ram Mandir holds profound spiritual, cultural, and religious importance to millions of Hindus globally, symbolising the realisation of a cherished dream and the embodiment of Bhagwan Ram’s timeless ideals and values.
The Hindu Heritage Centre invites the Hindu community and the public of Rotorua to join the inaugural event in the following ways:
•Global Devotional Gathering: A community prayer event will take place at the Hindu Heritage Centre on Monday, 22nd January 2024, between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm (New Zealand time). Participants will engage in bhajans, kirtans, perform ārtis, and collectively chant “Shri Rām Jai Rām Jai Jai Rām” 108 times. Recitals of Hanumān Chālisā is planned.
• Live Broadcast and Shared Experience: Efforts will be made to broadcast the ceremony live on online platforms, enabling a shared experience for all.
• Lighting Diyas: Rotorua’s Hindu devotees are encouraged to light lamps in their households after sunset on the ceremonial installation day of Rāmlalā. Hindu Heritage Centre will also light lamps by the devotees.

• Preservation and Promotion of Heritage: Conducting ancient art and craft classes, yoga, traditional music and dance classes, and Hindu scripture classes.
• Education and Awareness: Organising educational programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance understanding and awareness of Hindu philosophy, traditions, and practices.
• Community Engagement: Celebrating festivals, events, music, dance performances, and exhibitions aimed at promoting and sharing the richness of Hindu culture.
• Spiritual Nourishment: Providing a serene atmosphere for prayer and meditation.
