Apna TV NZ, has launched Shree Ramayana programme for the first time in New Zealand on its TV channel which will be telecast soon. The launching ceremony was held with religious fanfare on Monday 16th August at 204 Great South Road in Papatoetoe in Auckland. India’s High Commissioner in New Zealand HE Muktesh Pardeshi launched the programme by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. Several community leaders, dignitaries and representatives of community organisations were present at the launch event.

Apna TV General Manger Richard Kumar told all present that Shree Ramayana series will be telecast on Apna Television Freeview Channel 36 on weekly basis. People of New Zealand will benefit to see the locally made TV programme on Ramayana every Monday 6 pm to 7 pm, on Tuesdays from 8 pm to 9 pm on social platforms and again repeated on Fridays from 3 pm to 4 pm with fresh weekly episodes. At the launch program religious prayers were conducted by Pt Ram Kumar Sewak with a group of young children accompanying on musical instruments. -TIN Bureau (Please note this story was written before the alert level 4 lockdown)
