It is not new when we hear the ACT party and its team going hard and strong with campaigns even if the election date is way ahead. They have been there doing it for years and now have leveled up like never before. David’s popularity with kiwis has soared up to an extent that he has overtaken National party leader Judith Collins as preferred prime minister in latest research pools.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Seymour has been out and about the country with his honest conversation meetups, where last week on Saturday in Eastview Baptist Church, Botany, David with ACT deputy leader Brooke van Velden and ACT MP Damien Smith had some hour-long honest conversation with people of Indian origin.
David has been all over the place not only talking about issues like free speech, government’s gun law but now the more critical issues like covid and ACT’s proposal of privately run managed isolation facilities for fully vaccinated travelers. James McDowall, immigration spokesperson of ACT party along with Seymour has been addressing the very ignored immigration issue. “Our immigration system is dysfunctional and inhumane. Change is needed, however future immigration policies should be developed alongside migrant communities, businesses, and stakeholders.” said the party when they announced immigration policies as part of broader economic recovery.
With all points in place, if there is anything that is lacking in ACT’s approach in reaching out to the Indian community is the interpersonal interactive rounds with the community. However, we can see the team taking baby steps, and more recently David Seymour being present in events and meetups organized by the Indian community. Targeting locations where people will come up, wanting to listen to the blue-eyed leader should be a priority, and having a chat with him is particularly important. Rest assured Kiwi-Indians are more than willing to come out in support when they get to know their leaders better.
It is obvious with the prevailing circumstances, people are looking for answers, they want to vote for a party that promises to deliver solutions rather than just talk! And ACT looks promising with David winning hearts in last elections, it won’t come as a surprise if he is even better in the next. – TIN Bureau
