The fifth Pink Ribbon event under the banner of Kal Kular Creative Events was organised on Sunday 23rd May at the ‘Parnell 149’ restaurant at Parnell in Auckland. The total amount raised at the event was $6,190.00, which has been donated to Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. The fundraiser event was a 2-course dining experience for the guests with Brazilian Divas Dancers performed for them in special pink outfits.

Kal says she got inspired to start the fundraise event after a personal tragedy when she lost her aunt due to breast cancer in 2006. This year’s event focus was to create awareness among younger ladies about breast cancer so the disease can be nipped in the bud. The event was supported by many local businesses and community leaders. The prominent guests attending the event included Sudesh and Laxmi Jhunjhnuwala, Vickey Nauhria and Roshila Prasad. -TIN Bureau
