An infrastructure company from Hyderabad in India IJM, has created a record of laying new road of 25.54 lane kilometres in less than 18 hours (17.45 hours) as per the tweet of India’s Road & Transport and Infrastructure Minister Nitin Gadkari. This road construction happened on national highway number 13, between Solapur and Bijpur. This is first time in India that a road has been built at such a great speed though the Road Transport Ministry under its Minister Mr Gadkari is creating new records at every given opportunity.

This feat of fastest laying of new road will enter the Limca Book of Records, tweeted the Minister. The 110-kilometre, 4 lane highway is expected to complete by October 2021. The Indian government has got very ambitious plans for next 5 years to connect the whole of India with a network of world class roads and connect all main cities and business centres with each other by 2025. -TIN Bureau
