Former national MP from Botany, Jami-Lee Ross merged his newly launched political party Advance New Zealand Party with another social media sensation and newly launched political party New Zealand Public Party, on Sunday July 26, at Logan Campbell Centre in Auckland. Jami-Lee Ross had launched his party only a couple of days back and will now be the co-leader of New Zealand Public Party.

Since the announcement of elections this year, most political party have launched their election campaigning in past couple of weeks and including the current incumbent and favourite Labour Party, the attendance in most places have been confined to a few hundred people only. So, if the numbers of attendees do suggest anything, yesterday’s merger event should send some strong signal to all other parties to understand the mood of public. Te Kahika, later announced his intention of standing in the election from Te Tai Tokerau.
The Public Party is a new entity and has racked up a significant social media following is largely ignored by mainstream media except Sunday’s merger event making an exception. The party is anti-1080 and as per their website, are sceptical of ‘5G, fluoridation, vaccines, pharmaceuticals, poisons, electromagnetics, industrial products and waste, consumer products and food products.it also believes that United Nations is eroding New Zealander’s property rights “without any votes, referendum or legal recourse”.
As per the policies listed on the Party’s website, it says its two main policies are rebuilding New Zealand back into democracy and restoring government integrity.
