Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson has finally returned to his home country New Zealand.
Hesson was stranded in India for over a month due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hesson, who arrived in India early March for the 13th edition of the IPL, had to stay back as both India and New Zealand imposed a lockdown to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The former New Zealand coach did not forget to thank the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the New Zealand embassy in India, New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and New Zealand PM Jacinda Ardern.
The Indian Premier League, which was scheduled to kick off from 29th March has been postponed indefinitely.
