Parasite, the Korean movie with universal critical and popular acclaim, won four Academy Awards at this year’s Oscars including Best Picture, Direction, International Feature Film and Writing (Original Screenplay). It created history by becoming the first non-English language film in Oscar history to win the award for Best Picture. Writer, Director and Producer Bong Joon Ho won all three of the categories for which he was nominated, now with three Oscar wins to match his three nominations. Parasite is the first film from South Korea to be nominated for International Feature Film or the category’s previous name, Foreign Language Film.
