As has become the tradition now, India’s Honoury Consul in Auckland Bhav Dhillon, organised the event at his home, with over 100 diaspora leaders representing diverse communities and states, attending. Dhillon, in his speech, stressed on the importance of brotherhood amongst our various diverse communities, reminding that India has a long history of multiculturalism and proven secular credentials. Indian origin members of parliament, Kanwaljit Singh Bakshi and Dr Paramjit Parmar were also present, alongside Inspector Rakesh Naidoo, Judge Ajit, and Kiwi-Indian businessman Roshan Nauhria.
