Saree Speak, the name says it all, as the drape speaks for a lady itself – how confident, graceful, elegant she is, and what beauty she holds.
Saree Speak is a global group created three years ago. Now every country with Indian population, has its own sub-group, and so has Auckland.
On November 30, there was the Global Saree Meet, with Auckland group meeting as well. This group was created to have a sense of belonging, as well as to create awareness about various weaves from all parts of India. The group also gives a platform for women with Indian roots to connect with each other, and appreciate the glorious Indian tradition of saree wearing.
