Produced by the non-profit Communities Action Trust NZ (CATNZ) established in 2008, and brought to the capital by the Wellington City Council, this year’s Diwali held last weekend, had a very local empahsis.

This year, we had participation from the wider Wellington region, as well as from Auckland and Palmerston North.” Talking about the future of Wellington Diwali, he added, “We want this event to get more creative as we go along. Maybe next year, we will have more arts, crafts, rangolis, exhibitions, and more programmes for children such as puppetry.”
